Who Did Andy Warhol Produce an Album For?

Since his artwork is often associated with pop culture and art, it may come as a surprise to learn that Andy Warhol also had an interest in music. Though he never released any of his own albums, at one point or another, he produced work for various musical acts. One such act was The Velvet Underground – upon their request, he designed the front cover for their debut studio album “The Velvet Underground & Nico.” He created a banana design which would be mimicked several years later by artist John Van Hamersveld when creating the logo for seminal band Talking Heads’ second studio release.
