There are a lot of animals that can’t swim, but some might surprise you. We’ve put together a list of the 11 weirdest ones!

 Sloth – You wouldn’t think it from their slow movement on land, but sloths actually have an extremely efficient swimming style in water. This is because they use all four limbs to propel themselves forward and back, like an alligator does. They also have tough skin that has many folds which help them stay afloat.

Beaver – Beavers are known for building dams to help control the flow of rivers and streams near their homes, but they also enjoy swimming in lakes and other bodies of water during the summer months when these sources cool down. These mammals have webbed feet that help them swim, and they also use their tails as a rudder.
