Another Eden the ship that will never return.

In the year 2157, humanity is on the brink of extinction. With Earth’s resources depleted and our climate in shambles, we had no choice but to evacuate for a new planet. In preparation for this journey, scientists created an experimental ship called ‘eden’ that can sustain human life indefinitely.

What they didn’t anticipate was how quickly it would take us to adapt- or rather how slow our adaptation process will be. The average human life span is 30 years. We set out with a generation of people who were young enough to adapt quickly, but we now have three generations on board and the ship needs more humans for its ecosystem if that’s what you could call it anymore to survive.

If this was Earth, there would be no shortage of volunteers for an opportunity like this; however, humanity has been confined in one place for so long that they are fearful and distrustful of anything new or unfamiliar. They forget how much time passes aboard Eden as compared to outside because xenophobia blinds them from reality: That at any moment the only world left will implode upon itself when their lives end here inside Eden.
