The Arkansas Better Business Bureau is just one of the many entities that have been created to help small businesses grow. It’s a nonprofit organization that was started in 1993 by former Senator John Little, who says in a press release, “the purpose of the Arkansas Better Business Bureau, Inc. is to promote the public welfare by assisting businesses, organizations and individuals in obtaining and maintaining public confidence in the state and industry.
The BBB has been around for a long time and the current president says it’s been a great success. A good deal of its success is due to the fact that it’s made it easier for businesses to obtain the attention of the Arkansas Department of Commerce than many other organizations have. It’s a great way to get your business noticed, and even more importantly, it helps the public feel safe in their business.
The Arkansas BBB is a great organization and we certainly wouldn’t want to see it go down the pan. But if it’s going to be successful it has to be built on solid foundations and work well in the current political climate. The current president and many state politicians, along with Arkansas business leaders, need to step up and give the BBB what it needs to be successful.
Its funny that the BBB was one of the first things the state did after the economy suffered. But this is the first time I’ve heard someone say that their business needs a BBB. I’m not saying the BBB is perfect, but I think its on the right track. As technology continues to change the way businesses do business, it seems like the Arkansas BBB is one of the best chances for it to come back.
Ok, so the business idea is to become a BBB and provide info to businesses. Im not saying the BBB is the best thing for your business, but this is a good place to start. It’s not perfect, but it helps. There are no guarantees though.
Its not about perfect, but it does help. As technology continues to change the way businesses do business, it seems like the Arkansas BBB is one of the best chances for it to come back.
As an aside, I’m not sure how well that business idea would work for a service that sells shoes.

Of course, the Arkansas BBB exists because of Arkansas laws. There’s no reason Arkansas wouldn’t support a similar business. I mean, there is a huge disparity between the state’s and the internet’s laws. As long as you haven’t harmed the internet, you should be fine, but as with any business, your first priority is to ensure you don’t hurt people.
