For example, if your website is about golf, you might include “golf” in the website’s title tag, and this will make your website more relevant to golfers. This is really just an example, but many companies have been using this as a tool for years to increase their SEO rankings.

SEO is often considered a one-stop shop for all website marketing. However, I feel that it is still important to educate yourself on it as you develop your marketing plans. There are a number of basic SEO strategies that a person could try out to improve their SEO. The first thing to do is to understand the primary keyword(s) you want to target. If you have several that are relevant for your target market, you can try to optimize for each.

In the case of the company I work for, we have a great deal of information that’s provided to us by the marketing department. In order to optimize for these keywords, we have to create a list of keywords that represent the information we need, and then try to find the right phrases and words to use in our tweets, articles, etc.

I am the type of person who will organize my entire home (including closets) based on what I need for vacation. Making sure that all vital supplies are in one place, even if it means putting them into a carry-on and checking out early from work so as not to miss any flights!
