I can’t really stand watching the new trailer but I like its ability to keep me up late. It’s one of the few time-looping movies I can watch on my phone (and iPad) and I’ve heard that it features all the elements of the movie itself. In fact, it’s one of the few times-looping movies I can watch on my phone and I’ve seen it on my tablet and I even found it on my own.
I can’t say I’ve seen it on television, but I’ve seen the trailer on YouTube. I love the idea of watching it as if I was in the movie, but I also love the idea of all the elements of the movie being in a new way. I think it just adds an extra layer of depth to the movie and its pretty cool.
Apple’s own movie trailer was a bit of a different story. The trailer debuted at the exact same time as the trailer for the movie, and the movie was released that same week. So apparently the movie’s trailer was shot first and then sent to the movie’s trailer for the preview. This didn’t seem to matter much to audiences, but it did to reviewers and even marketing people. The trailers were still released in the same week, but people complained.
The movie’s director, Brad Bird, had already made one movie, and he already had a pretty good idea of how the movie would end, so it did not matter how much time passed before the trailers came out.
No, I had a little more time to get to know the movie, which was probably a good thing, but it was still a bit of a surprise that the trailers had been released that week. There was also some traffic, which was not nearly as great as there had been in the past, but it was still a pretty good surprise.
For those of you who may have been disappointed, you’re in luck. Brad Bird has explained that the movie is still in development, but you can expect to see the first trailer in the next few weeks. That said, the trailer does not give away any secrets, so expect an “action packed” movie.
