You know, young people are really good at multitasking. I’m not saying that you should try and do everything. Like, I have a lot of hobbies. I’m a blogger. I’m a writer. I’m a reader. I’m a teacher. I’m a performer, so there are a lot of things I’m doing all the time.
I’m a teacher. And while it’s true that some of those hobbies are more important than others, it’s also true that most of them are not really fun. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I ever played with a friend. And that’s okay. If you’re a young entrepreneur, you’re gonna have tons of hobbies and it’s okay to have some of them that aren’t fun. You can’t be a writer all the time.
Yes, you can. You can be a writer all the time. But you can also have other hobbies that don’t involve writing. I’m talking about things like playing guitar. Or playing video games. Or doing other things that are fun. And if you can do them, then you can be a writer too. But its not a quick, easy, fun thing to do. Thats why I say, if you can have some hobbies that arent fun, then you should.
The truth is, if you want to be a writer, then you should. But I think most of us would agree that it would be a good idea to have hobbies. We need to keep the same basic principles in our lives. We need to enjoy the things we enjoy. We need to be honest with ourselves about our goals.

If you are a musician, you can make your own instruments. You can go to any music store and buy a guitar, a keyboard, a drum machine, and a bass. You can also buy a synthesizer and do all sorts of cool things with it. If you are a businessman, you can start a business with the money you make from writing. You can then create a product that will sell for a fair price and have some cool marketing.
I’ve been in several business meetings where one of the people in the room decided to hire an intern to build a website for them. The intern was always surprised when I said I wanted them to hire someone that could build their website, because someone was always building something for them. It was like somebody in the room was trying to make sure they hired the right person for the job.
The company that hired you should know better. If you do not have the skills and experience in a particular domain, it is likely that you will not be hired. But, sometimes you want to hire someone and then the wrong person hires you. In my experience, the best way to avoid this is to interview the right person for the job.
