I’m going to tell you the three levels of awareness we all have and then you’re going to have to choose which one is most important to you. The level of self-awareness you have when you’re on the edge of your seat trying to think about what you’re doing.
The level of awareness you have when youve got a gun in your hand, ready to fire at the first sign of something that may not be right.
I think one of the best explanations of all the different levels of awareness is from the American philosopher, Robert A. Heinlein. His book, “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress,” talks about how different stages of development of awareness occur. The first stage of awareness is the level of our subconscious and our intuition while it is the “dark” part of our mind that is the “light”.
A lot of people think they have a lot of awareness when they are able to look at the gun and see that there’s a gun in there. The problem is that it’s not easy to pull that trigger, so when we are not aware of what we are doing, it’s hard for us to perform the correct actions.
In a lot of cases, the only way to get the right mindset is to be the right one. There are a lot of smart personalities that go along with the smart personality. My favorite one is Hisham, and I have a lot of them. He is a smart guy, but he is also a weak one.
